Ivan Rodriguez won 13 Gold Gloves during his Hall of Fame career, more than any other catcher.

That hefty tally also slots Pudge fourth (tied with Ozzie Smith) on the list of most Gold Gloves at any position, behind only Greg Maddux, who won 18 as a pitcher, Jim Kaat (16 at pitcher), and Brooks Robinson (16 at third base).

Rodriguez, who played for six franchises during his 12-year career, won all of his Gold Gloves in the American League — ten for the Texas Rangers and three for the Detroit Tigers.

Johnny Bench holds the National League record with ten Gold Gloves at catcher, won in consecutive years, from 1968 through 1977. Bench also stands second overall among backstops behind Rodriguez, while Yadier Molina checks in with nine GGs (Yadi appears on our list of 2014 Gold Glove winners, for example).
