That sounds like it is one of the bonus cards printed on the bottom of a wax box. Some kid with an unsteady hand must have cut it out. Or perhaps he was distracted by the annoying antics of his little sister and his hand slipped. I would think such a poor job of cutting would decrease the value.

I think there is a small group of collectors that look for miscuts specifically, but generally they’re just damaged cards (though sometimes interesting).

Rice was pretty quiet, for sure.

Never was interested in collecting Jim Rice. Steve Garvey and Pete Rose- sure. But not Jim. He wasn’t enough of a celebrity.
