I was a Pirates fans (I lived in Hawaii and at the time the AAA team in Hawaii was the Pirates farm team). Distefano seemed like a cant miss prospect (I was too young to really understand batting averages, otherwise I would have realized he was very much a can miss prospect) and I remember trading a Bret Saberhagen rookie card for about a dozen Distefano rookies and then wondering why he was still in the minor in 1985.
