This made building the set in the pre internet era a hunt in the dark and a lot of going back and forth with your cards to check if you had the card already.

Thankfully, its Pinnacle product and even its Select product were an upgrade. I did embrace Score later in the 1990s especially my all-time favorite Score design, 1998. In football, Score is another story. 1989 Score was revolutionary for the time. 1990 Score was beyond mass produced and the biggest letdown ever after 1989 Score’s incredible debut.

I bought a 1988 Score hobby box a few months ago! Opening the packs was a fun, nostalgic experience for sure, but the collation was pretty awful. Hope you have better fortune there.

Oh, and if you get a Gregg Jefferies rookie card, I’ll pay a gazillion dollars for it.
