But I still pick it up if I see a copy anywhere. I respected Gooden’s overall body of work on the field. Off the field, that’s another story! Anyway, but for his personal issues, Gooden is a 100% lock for the HOF. He started out that good. He showed flashes of greatness periodically during his career and he played on a lot of winning teams like the 86 Mets, 88 Mets and 96 Yankees. So Gooden deserves more from hobbyists than what he has been given.
